TELECOMS GIANT JOINS FORCES WITH OTHER FIRMS LEADING ON EARLY CAREERS
Virgin Media has become the latest big UK employer to join the Good + Fair Employers Club, saying they are impressed by the speed with which we’ve responded to this year’s challenges – including our monthly discussion sessions for firms facing the task of planning and running early careers recruitment against the backdrop of the Covid-19 outbreak.
Karen Handley, Global Head of Future Careers at Virgin Media and its parent group Liberty Global (pictured below), said:
“Attracting and nurturing the best talent is key to creating a high performance culture that delivers for our people and customers. We’re committed to ensuring access for all, and are pleased to join this community of employers who are also leading by example to create meaningful change that ensures no one is left behind.”

Tanya de Grunwald, founder of the Good + Fair Employers Club and the popular graduate careers website Graduate Fog, said:
“We are thrilled to welcome Virgin Media to our community of leading employers who take seriously their responsibilities towards young people. Not only are Karen and her team doing brilliant work with their apprentices, interns and graduates, they are also passionate about social mobility and diversity, and making sure that Virgin Media is part of a broader, collaborative movement towards positive societal change. As the extreme challenges for all employers of young people look set to continue for months to come, we look forward to welcoming Virgin Media to the table during the exciting discussions we’ve got planned for our members in 2021.”
