We are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Good + Fair Employers Club advisory board member: Iain Gallagher, former Senior Manager of Early Careers at Santander.

Iain is already a good friend of the club and well known to our members, having been our principal contact at Santander since the bank joined the Good + Fair Employers Club in June 2019.

Since then, Iain and his team have been regular and enthusiastic contributors to our discussions, sharing valuable innovations throughout the strange days of the pandemic, and since then as early careers teams have continued to reassess and rebuild systems and processes to attract, recruit and retain the latest cohorts of early talent in a post-Covid world.

Accepting our invitation to join our advisory board, Iain said:

‘I am truly honoured to be joining the advisory board for the Good + Fair Employers Club. The club is a fantastic opportunity for companies to share, discuss and find solutions to help ensure that young people from any background have opportunities to succeed.

‘Tanya has built a reputation as a determined champion of young people starting their career. She is a true force to be reckoned with and I am honoured to join her team alongside some other incredible board members.

‘I look forward to contributing to the ongoing success of the Good + Fair Employers Club by sharing with members my expertise in Learning and Development and Talent Acquisition alongside building and running a range of award winning Early Talent programmes over the last eight years.

‘It will be exciting to contribute to this vital forum, where members strive to ensure they continue to innovate, face new challenges, and drive forward with the latest thinking, while maintaining their focus on fairness and equality for all.’

Tanya de Grunwald, founder and CEO of the Good + Fair Employers Club (pictured above), said:

‘I am delighted that Iain has accepted my invitation to join the Good + Fair Employers Club, as part of the next chapter of his career. Iain’s infectious enthusiasm for all things early careers is matched by the depth of his expertise and his capacity for problem-solving, strategy and execution.

‘Drawing on his experience gained from 30 years at Santander (the last eight of which have been in early careers), Iain will help to shape our calendar of events, ensuring discussions continue to be provocative, targeted and timely.

‘As well as catching up with Iain at our Summer and Winter Leadership Lunches, G+F members can look forward to seeing him guest hosting virtual sessions on topics which play to his expertise. We have already started planning our Autumn schedule. More details will follow soon!’

Iain joins fellow advisory board members Prof Dr Ger Graus OBE, Liz Bingham OBE and Dr Iwi Ugiagbe-Green. For more information about our team, click here.
